The nature of the Christian conscience is such that it must grow simultaneously in 2 directions:

1. The first direction of growth is in awareness of God’s saving, redeeming, and merciful love.
2. The second is in a corresponding realization of our own infidelity to that love through sinfulness.

Tips:

• Ask the Father of Light to illuminate and define the areas of our own darkness.
• The more we admit to (2), the more God reveals Himself as (1).
